First Christian is a multi-generational congregation.  Children, youth, and men and women of all ages lead worship together.  The congregation is patient, tolerant, and open-minded, striving always to make the good news of God's love and forgiving nature, as revealed through Jesus, relevant and active in practical daily living.

Persons with a wide range of faith understandings come together and seek to be children of God by their service and commitments.  The congregation is warm and encouraging to all persons of all faith stages of development.
